cardanic safety chain

The use of cardanic chain in conveyor systems is not new. Used in manufacturing and assembly processes throughout the world, it is key feature of the Linkline conveyor systems.

There was, however, an inherent problem with the original design, which presented a major safety issue. Gaps in the chain opened up as it progressed around corners, creating hazardous finger traps.

By a simple modification of the three-part assembly, David Cockayne introduced a zero-gap chain, now patented around the world, complying with stringent CE legislation.
