Another of David Cockayne’s patented innovations is the conveyor pallet brake-puck. Typically, conveyor systems will have at least 50 pallets, each carrying a weight of up to 50kg, so when they come together there is a serious risk of overloading. Simple in design but extremely effective, the in-built brake puck automatically stops the pallets as they contact each other. It both eliminates line pressure and has the added bonus of acting as a shock absorber.
