When designing the Linkline conveyor system, David Cockayne opted for a simple linked drive system, using a continuous chain, rather than the more conventional series of stand-alone drive loops.
The system removed the need for costly return track, and all the associated modules, thereby reducing build and installation time and increasing the conveyor's maximum up-time. Automatic chain tension monitoring adjusts each drive via a two-speed inverter, effectively compensating for any changes in speed or load to protect the chain from damage. | in-line conveyor drive
